Bob Lee was a longtime newspaper correspondent, editor and the author of several books and articles on the Black Hills. He was inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame in 1987 and named its “Writer of the Year” in 1992. Lee was a past president of the South Dakota State Historical Society.
