Terry C. Anderson earned his BA in Government in 1974 and his MA in Political Science in 1977, both from the University of South Dakota. He presented “The Train Is Coming” at the Augustana University Center for Western Studies 2024 Dakota Conference and received the Richard Copp Amateur Award. Anderson was a member of the staff of the South Dakota Legislative Research Council from 1977 to 2000 and served as director from 1982 to 2000. He completed his forty-one-year public service career by serving as director of the Wisconsin Legislative Council from 2000 to 2018. He resides in Windsor, Wisconsin, with his wife Gretchen Lord Anderson, former press secretary to Governor George S. Mickelson.
