CENTENNIAL PROGRAM: Meet Matilda Joslyn Gage. Author Angelica Carpenter will discuss her book Born Criminal: Matilda Joslyn Gage, Radical Suffragist.
Matilda Joslyn Gage was a famous leader in the early women's movement, working closely with Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Today she is mostly forgotten after being largely written out of history. Ms. Carpenter's book writes her back in.
Co-sponsored by:
- League of Women Voters of Kansas City, Jackson, Clay, and Platte Counties
- Mid-Continent Public Library
League members are invited to a reception for the author from 5 - 7pm. Cost: $15.
