The Henry Madden Library is proud to welcome back Library emeriti Thomas Ebert and Angelica Carpenter for this event discussing historical figures from the women’s suffrage movement and the Lincoln presidency.
Join us for this event to hear directly from the authors of two new books, John George Nicolay: The Man in Lincoln’s Shadow by Allen Carden and Thomas J. Ebert, and Born Criminal: Matilda Joslyn Gage, Radical Suffragist by Angelica Shirley Carpenter.
Who were the individuals behind American legends like Abraham Lincoln and Susan B. Anthony? These are the stories of two little known history makers who played a major role in forming our nation’s values and building the country that we know today.
