North Dakota Book Festival

The Third Annual North Dakota Book Festival will be held at the Historic Ellendale Opera House on Sunday, November 3rd. It is free and open to the public. In addition, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning there will be 4 writing workshops held. You may attend all four for $25 or each one for $10. Call Ken Schmierer at 701 349 2490 to sign up. There is limited seating in the workshops.

A spectacular group of writers once again have committed to attending the Festival. Tom Isern, Denise Lajimodiere, Matt Valan, Rebecca Bender, Dave Solheim, Sharon Chmielarz, Angela Smith, Bonnie Larson Staiger, Molly P. Rozum, Christine Stewart Nunez. Suzzanne Kelley will return to host the Festival.

The 90-minute workshops will be hosted Saturday 1:00 by Jamee Larson, Saturday 2:45 Poetry workshop by Bonnie Larson Staiger the Associate Poet Laureate of North Dakota, Sunday 9:00 Tom Isern "Going to the Source: How to Research Anything" 90 minutes, Sunday 11:00 Suzzanne Kelley "Partnering with Your Publisher" 90 minutes.

snacks will be served Saturday from 12 to 3 and Sunday from 11:30 to 3:00 sponsored by Thrivent with all receipts going to the Dakota Walking trail.

The North Dakota Book Festival is brought to you by the following sponsors, Humanities ND, The Historic Ellendale Opera House, The Ellendale Historical Society, The Ellendale Area Arts Council and Ellendale Tourism.

25 percent of the purchase price of all Books sold at the festival will go to the Opera House. This will be a great afternoon and the Workshops will be excellent. Watch for bios in next week's Leader. Hope to see you here and there.
