South Dakota History

The Spring 2026 issue of South Dakota History features an article on the history of the South Dakota State Historical Society, an analysis of speeches made by Governors Norbeck and Janklow and how their words and arguments affected the existence of South Dakota’s state-owned cement plant, and the first entry in a series of America 250–themed installments of “Curator’s Corner,” to be published throughout 2026 in celebration of the U.S. Semiquincentennial.
